DEBLANC (Lucio Burolo)

Singer, keyboardist, composer, arranger, producer, performer of Canadian origin, he was born in Ottawa to Italian parents.
Moving to Italy in the 70s, he began collaborating on the live music scene in numerous bands as a singer and keyboardist, until in the mid-80s, following his own creative drive, he decided to move on to the composition of his own songs, not before having completely renewed his instrumentation in an electronic key, fascinated by the new sounds of the international dance music productions of the 80s.

In 1985 with his first song Firedance he won the first important musical contest in which he participated and signed a contract with a record label that counts among its artists already well-known names of the italo-disco.

Thus began his record production collaborating from his first single Monnalisa with famous names of the Italian music scene, such as Maurizio Preti musician for Adriano Celentano, Eugenio Finardi, Ivan Graziani, Francesco Guccini and producer of dance hits among the others for Carrara and Meccano, Riccardo Persi producer and musician among others for Maurizio Arcieri's Krisma, Sergio Portaluri producer and musician for Fabrizio De Andrè, Lucio Fabbri musician for PFM and conductor of the Sanremo orchestra.

He is the guest of numerous television broadcasts in Italy and Europe and in the most famous discos and Italo Disco parties – Eurodance from the 80s, like at the AltroMondo Studios in Rimini, where in 1987 he recorded the video clip for RAI television of his second single and successful international hit Mon amour.

"Mon Amour" immediately becomes a classic of Italo Disco - Eurodance and is published in countries all over the world, even in the United Kingdom where the license of the song is purchased, and then appearing in the following decades in dozens of very successful compilations, among which one in Brazil in 1990 became a huge success bringing Mon Amour to be also in that great country a top song from the 80s. Since then it has also been brought to the stages by Brazilian artists, and it can never miss in 80s dance shows and events. As well as in the Philippines, where the great success Mon Amour becomes one of the songs to be danced to, of the country's most popular and important entertainment television broadcasts, among which the famous "Tonight with Dick and Carmi", so that Deblanc was invited to Manila in the 90s to receive an important artistic recognition.

In the new book by Raff Todesco, the great music producer of the 80s, of 2020 entitled "Italo Disco - History of dance in Italy", Deblanc's song Mon Amour is placed by the author in the shortlist of the most important songs of Italo Disco, together with Gazebo, Den Harrow, Sandy Marton, La Bionda, Spagna, Sabrina Salerno, based on sales results, international rankings, internet views, foreign sales licenses.
Currently Deblanc as well as performing live with his successes, collaborates, produces and takes care of music activities, especially live, also for even for other artists of the Italian scene, also as a singer and keyboard player.

He is contacted by numerous record eitchettes from all over the world to return to publish new songs in the Italo Disco - Eurodance style.

As requested by fans from all over the world, and is contacted by Mexico, Brazil, Holland and numerous countries around the world to come to perform live with his hit songs. In the meantime, a new single is being prepared to be released also on vinyl, which promises to be a big hit on an international level again.

With great success in May 2022 Deblanc was invited to perform live at the first edition of the new big 80s international event "Italo Disco Takes Over" with his ever since worldwide success Mon Amour, together with his greatest
fellow artists of the Italo Disco-Eurodance international scene, thus going on the stages of the Altromondo Studios in Rimini and the City Center of Riccione with Linda Jo Rizzo, Ryan Paris, Ken Lazslo, Righeria, Scotch, The Creatures and many other internationally renowned dance artists.
